I think overall ive learned a lot about setting these systems up and will probably have a great deal of success after I upgrade the OS.
Main Menu for the systems and the systems own XML file for the name of the roms/game files. If you cant find the right name just check for the name in the Database for the XML file. And I am unfamiliar with command lines for starting games directly through mame (again have not spent much time on this yet) not sure where to even write them. The emulator is for running classic arcade games, head on over to Mame and download the version that will work with hyperspin.
While you have the choice to create your own databases for your games, it is recommended that you instead change the name of your games to match the No-Intro format and use official Hyperspin databases. If it is there has to be additional steps taken that are not needed with later versions. Official Hyperspin Databases are written in XML and use a game naming convention called No-Intro. 106 version of mame and was able to get the matching roms but launching from rocket launcher is not working as I don't think its compatible with either RL or hyperspin. admittedly I have not spent much time on this though so I could be overlooking it. there are several different ini folders (ui.ini, and I think settings.ini) and none have the option to change these settings.
